Our Executive Team:

(Co-Founder & CEO): Robert Smith - Serving as MADLABZ CEO and President.

Robert has over 30 years experience in the Telecommunications, Electronics, and Information Technology (IT) industries, with a primary focus on network maintenance, management, security, instrumentation, and new technology development. A creative visionary, writer, and inventor, his career path has been unique and unconventional, a professional anomaly.

An American, a US Army Signal Corps veteran, and an Independent political reform activist, Robert has had many unofficial contributions to the US National Intelligence Community, and numerous other anonymous contributions and influences in the recesses of The Underworld & Underground since the 1990s.

___________

From a young age, he was making new inventions and creations. Starting in 1981, mostly self-taught and only 9 years old, Robert learned computer programming on the first-generation of home computers sold, a Commodore Vic-20. As a Grade School student, Robert was winning Statewide computer programming contests at the Junior High School level, then winning Statewide programming contests at a High School level while still in Junior High School. …A young prodigy and visionary, creating processes and programs just came naturally. A wrestler for 12 years, Robert went undefeated for 2 consecutive seasons during his Junior High wrestling career.

After completion of High School, Robert joined the United States Army as a Strategic Fixed-Station & Tactical Microwave Radio Repairer (29V/M).  Graduating top of his class in the the Army's first dual-trained strategic fixed-station and tactical microwave radio repairer training program, holding a ‘Secret’ Security Clearance.  Serving 4 years, mostly in South Korea, Robert created scheduled maintenance processes, managed roving maintenance teams, and had primary facility management responsibilities for numerous microwave and fiber optic communications facilities, to include an Armed Forces Korean Network (AFKN) AM/FM/TV broadcast transmitter facility. Corporal (CPL) Smith was also the 36th Signal Battalion Soldier of the Quarter in July 1991.

Upon honorable discharge from active duty in 1994, Robert entered Denver, Colorado's booming telecommunications industry. Again showing extraordinary versatility and experience, Robert worked in the telecommunications industry for nearly 20 years. …From installing Denver and Boulder, Colorado’s Rapid Transit Division (RTD) buses with their first-generation digital radios in 1994, working in a few major telecommunications provider National Operation Centers (NOC) and National Surveillance Centers (NSC) facilities, provisioning and testing circuits from the DS1 to OC-192 levels, designing scheduled maintenance processes for the then world’s-largest fiber optic network provider (some portions remain industry standard today), managed all scheduled and emergency maintenance events for North America/Europe/China, created custom network management tools, and designed a world-first Scheduled Maintenance Tool (SMT) with network architecture-awareness. Also worked as a communication and instrumentation technician at a federal hydro-electric power plant servicing plant communications and telemetry (SCADA) systems, microwave and fiber optics communications, General Electric hydro-electric turbine generator control circuits and sensors, and performing primary-line controller (PLC) circuit calibrations for plant monitoring and control telemetry.

In 1996 Robert was published on the Home Page of the Republican National Committee (RNC-GOP), after writing a political opinion editorial (Op-Ed) under a pseudonym (GenXVoice) about the upcoming Bob Dole vs. Bill Clinton presidential election.  Although published on the main GOP homepage, the editorial was complimentary as well as critical of both candidates and their political stances on the current issues at the time.  Now a long-time Independent voter, Robert has continued his political activism efforts to this day, striving for more economic equality, better communities, a stronger country, and a more innovative world.

Upon entering entrepreneurship in 2012, Robert studied further in the fields of Information Technology (IT) networking, Cisco Switching & Routing, and advanced ethical hacking/penetration testing methodologies (Offensive Security Certified Professional - OSCP), with a focus on network & device security development. ...All-the-while developing additional telecommunications and IT network security Intellectual Properties (IPs) along the way. :)

___________

Now co-founding MADLABZ, Robert is working to develop many personally conceptualized Intellectual Properties (IPs) and projects, and to publicly disclose many exclusive strategies and proposed process improvements to help promote a better community, nation, and world. ….It’s time to get MAD!! :)
